This summer, our 1st year grad student, Claire Kunkle, is getting a chance to apply her heat transfer knowledge as an Intern at Google in Mountain View, CA. This is strengthening the connection between our lab and the tech giant, as two former PhD students are already full time employees on the same R&D team that Claire will be working with. She is positively “googley” about the opportunity to get some industry experience and her options as she continues her MS/PhD program at Cal’s EMT lab.
