The Spring semester has ended and this May we graduated two EMT Lab members, one of whom is heading out of the lab and into the world as an expert in energy and phase change.
Ruth Herrera Reed finished up her years in the lab, receiving her PhD and getting hooded by Prof. Carey in the UC Berkeley graduate commencement on May 16. The event was attended by over a hundred graduates and their families. We are so proud of her work in the lab and the great accomplishment of earning her doctorate in Mechanical Engineering! Claire Kunkle also finished her master’s degree and will continue in the lab in pursuit of a PhD.
